We are recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to work for one of our education clients on a full time basis (term time only). This role is a temporary role with the expected start date to be Monday 24th February, so please do bear this in mind when applying for the role.

HR Manager Responsibilities:

  • Organise and oversee all staff recruitment, including updating job descriptions and person specifications, organising, shortlisting and arranging interviews, issuing offer letters and contracts
  • Lead and manage the induction process
  • Dealing with employee relation matters including probation concerns, disciplinary hearings and absence and grievance meetings
  • Tracking and monitoring staff absence
  • Track and monitor probationary periods and ensure probation review meetings take place
  • Support the Head and senior staff with organisational change initiatives
  • Dealing with general payroll queries
  • Notify the payroll provider of any changes to terms and conditions, new starters, resignations and sick pay/maternity pay entitlement

HR Manager Profile:

  • CIPD qualification – or working towards
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and managing recruitment
  • Recent generalist HR experience working independently in a “hands on” role
  • Good Knowledge of IT systems
  • Good knowledge of employment legislation
