We are recruiting for a professional and hardworking Ledger Assistant to work for a large Professional Services Company in North East Birmingham on a full time basis.

Ledger Assistant (Payments) Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all Purchase Ledger transactions are paid in line with company policy
  • To reconcile the Purchase Ledger cashbooks on a regular basis
  • First point of contact for regular supplier queries
  • Process credit card payments via the in-house database
  • Ensure Purchase Invoices are checked for accuracy before payment is authorised
  • Review all payment runs before submitting them to higher Management
  • Processing expenses and employee claims forms
  • Deal with emergency cheque requests and ad hoc payments
  • Review all statements to the Ledger

Ledger Assistant (Payments) Profile:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and via telephone
  • Integrity and the ability to handle sensitive data at a high professional standard
  • Strong team player
  • Educated to GCSE level or higher with good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
